I dedicate this blog to every song that has ever made me feel. To the musicians and singers and song writers and the enormous number of talents that it takes to create a song that tells a story that feels like it was ripped right from my heart and in only 3-4 minutes??

JOB WELL DONE!

I have already shared that music IS my love language. I speak in song lyrics and dance like my life is a musical. Even when people are watching. So, let's turn on our favorite song and break it down and feel the reasons why music is the universal language of life.

Come on, let's go for a ride in my car. We will roll the windows down and open the sunroof.

The sun is shining on us and the road ahead, is open and ready for speed!

Engine is purring and I pull out of the drive as the first note hits.

My ears perk and my mind becomes alert to the sounds that are about to take us for a wild ride down the memory speedway. I can feel my foot become one with the pedal.

My pulse picks up the tempo and my blood rushes through my veins with each beat.

The sound vibrates the energy of the notes, flowing like bolts of electricity as every cell in my body comes alive. Even the roots of my hair tingles!!

Do you feel it? The vibrations of the bass?? The hit of every drumstick?

Just wait! There is so much more...

Now take a deep breath and release ... clear your mind and set it free of today's worries. And listen with an open heart and an open mind. Go where the music takes you.

Hear comes the caress of vocals that pull the strings of my heart of memories past, present and future. As the words flood my mind, it's like all the versions of me are living at the same time as I let them play together like friends.

Who I was, who I am, who I will be someday.

And as I feel those feelings like jolts of lightening to my soul, now the singer really kicks in the chorus and guitars rip their steely sounds, suddenly I'm engulfed in their story as if I am a part of it.

And somehow, the two worlds crash into one! The memories like a movie as if that had all been someone else who lived these tales to tell. And then visions of how things are now, come crashing in to be seen and felt and then comes the hope of new dreams to live!!

And as we slowly close out as the vocals fade and the band takes us back down to earth, we come to stop, and the ride is over. But my body still tingles, and my heart still beats. To know I can feel this again and make it better each time, until the memory is perfected, is exciting!

Because we just made a new memory for next time.

We don't ever really want to go back, but to take 3-4 minutes to honor what was and the journey we are on to discovering who we are, I will relive it as many times as it takes to learn who I am.

I hope you enjoyed the trip down the lane, and I hope one day, we can do it again. I already have a song in mind. Just sayin'. I wish I could leave you a song today but all I got in me is poetry.
